Just a little rant about cage drivers
Sorry but I am forced to have a rant about my close call this arvo.
On the way home from work (6pm), going 50km/h through an intersection ('thirsty dog' on k rd intersection) a %^& cage driver pulled out(running a red) in front of me. I skidded and missed him by a few mm (if you are driving to the city on krd youll see my 10m long skid mark). I turned around as soon as I could, but he was obviously trying to get away, by taking the back road behind dogs bollix to the western motorway onramp. I managed to get his number but the police cant trace the plate as it has been deregistered. So.... basically they cant trace the car.
Anyway, just a word to everyone, keep your eyes open and be ready for ANYTHING.
Oh, and if you see a silver daihatsu charade with the plate QQ8985, tell the driver that the grey lynn scooter cartel are after him.
Cheers,
Craig

I saw that guy heading towards the airport
He must have gotten wind, that the cartel were after him ...I think he is fleeing the country. Bastard.
Hi Craig
I'm sorry to hear about your close call, but glad you are ok. Even when I'm in my cage, the mad cage drivers freak me out!
A small hammer
in your glove box is a great tool for those moments.
glad you diddnt come to harm mate.
Feral John.....
I used to be a Geologist in a previous life
And keep a Geo pick in my glove box ;o) I feel better just in the knowledge that its there (hehe!).
Ive had 2 IDIOT cage drivers pass me on the blind hill up Shore Road (Remmers) in the past 4 weeks even though I was doing over the speed limit?! Go figure!
Shall watch out for nasty charade. Oh, and did I mention to beware of pedestrians too? ;o) hehe
Glad to hear your ok.
Good thing
you didn't bend that SS, mate - or yourself more impotantly. One club member in hospital at the moment is one too many. Ride safe.
Chris
Re: Shore Road
As bad luck would have it, BMW plate number CTK340 passed me while doing the speed limit (as described above) up Shore Road in the path of oncoming traffic forcing me up and onto the footpath to avoid being hit.
The Police were quite helpful - if you go to www.police.govt.nz you can click on the "Report a Bad Driver" link and report the offending vehicle.
Apparently they receive a letter and have the incident added to their record.
Not saying I advocate calling the police every 5 minutes, but it may be a useful link for those just-to-close close calls.
Ride safe,
Fran
