Dont forget everybody that an informal run or two or three will be good for those staying in the Auck over this time.

No club rund in this period so no clashing , cool!!

Just post it earlyish so riders can plan.

for participating in a run.  Nothing like a small tiddler run or similar to de-stress after Xmas.

Shall keep watch with anticipation.

Cheers  Mark

And here I am staring at my matchbox kitchen in my shoe box apartment (with my 30cm high sad plastic coffee table sized xmas tree)...

Never fear Rhys - Columbus Cafe is just down that road :o)

Merry Xmas ya'll

Ride safe

Perhaps we could meet at 9.00am at Honeywell, see how many turn up and decide on a destination/route from there.  I don't have any current thoughts at the moment.

So Fran, Rhys, Ron are you keen? Anyone else?

Not sure if anyone is coming tomorrow, but will cruise past Honeywell at 0900 and depart about 0915.  If anyone is keen we will see you there, otherwise I'm off cruising solo (doesn't sound desparate does it?).

Let us know if you are coming and I'll wait.

Destination totally unknown.

Cheers  Mark

Enjoyed the ride, the Auck was looking splendid.

Nice scoot Pogo, start giving it some stick now, its loose enough, dont wait!! The bore could glaze and hinder top speed later on.

Amazing to think all of the Shore dwellers used to have a vehicular ferry from Birkenhead and that was the only way really.

The Ferry company was really powerful in those days!

Thanks to everyone that came on the run today

The weather was great - a day that you could just ride all day.  It's a pity I was not able to do the full run but the family was having a 'tanty' before I left so every minute saved was a bonus albeit at the cost of a perfect day.  Judging by the pic's Margret, it looks like I missed the best.  Oh well next time huh!

Thanks again,  Mark

but it would be rude to say no.  However my attendance depends on the amount of criminal element happening on the day.  Will see how we go though.

the weather looks ok.

Shall we just do a tiddler run or do you fancy something a little further afield.  By that I mean for an hour or two say - not an all or half day ride.  I'm very happy to do either an I am still "running in" my scoot.  Any ideas of a destination? Choc cake a prerequisite reward for a good run at the end of the day!

We'll keep in touch.

Cheers  Mark

Ride to Greenhithe Motorway

Thanks for meeting us for the informal ride from Honeywell's, Mark.  Meeting up with Jennie and Peter and Lester-minus-Buddy, Old Mod and myself followed you down Symonds Street, Anzac Avenue and over the harbour bridge.  It was a glorious day to cross over the Waitemata, mixing with the speedsters on the middle lanes.  Exiting at Onewa Road and visiting Shelly Beach was a good idea and a stop at Birkenhead wharf was an opportunity to reaquaint myself with that ferry terminus.  As you know Peter had to make stops as often as his on-call needed his attention.  When we farewelled you after going down the new Greenhithe motorway, we went to Herald Island and had our cupofteas or coffee and lunch snacks.  Time was given to viewing the video Richard made of the Xmas Lights run.  The sun was so hot that Peter had to cool down his and Jennie's helmets.  Thanks for leading us from Mt Eden to Glenfield.

Margret
