Possibly, if I could afford to have a scooter I was willing to risk crashing.
know what you mean. that has put me off so far. but i think i will try and have a go in march. i will take it easy at first and try to avoid crashing.

semi regularly i put that lammy down on the track. all in the pursuit of a slightly faster line or braggin rights at the pub after. i must have crashed it at least eight times by now. Its always been a sliding out of the tail accident. i simply slide along next to my scooter with my leather clad arse polishing the track, and my arms holding the handlebars stil (and my mind goin not too much paint, not too much paint)) Its fine, beauty of steel over plastic, can simply bend the legshields back to where they're meant to be. I can't afford to crash my bike on the road, thats why i race, to get all my crashing out of the way there. haha
abusing scooters since 1991
ta for your comments. it is encouraging.

this has nothing to do with scooters it is just part of my signature: stop the death penalty http://www.amnesty.org.nz/
We need some scooter chicks to race too - waving pom pom types need not apply thanks! Anyone interested??? Girls look hot in leather too, so you can't keep the monopoly on that Matt! Sorry :-) C
This is how I see it - for anyone that has been to the racing you will know that there are a lot of guys. They are nearly all in leather and depending on the weather hot and sweaty. Sooo if some scooter chicks begin to race i think it would only be fair to have some pom pom grrls there as well, you know just to keep things even :)
a scooter that goes- I took my dunger LI 150 out, there's been th g.s, 160, ss180, LD lambretta and a couple of nice ss90's. and there's been nice new P.X.s and belladonnas.
The endurance race showed that new, less experienced riders can mix it up on the track without feeling intimidated or crashing . there's a whole day of practice on saturday, so get out there next time and pootle around. If you need to race for prizes, I'll put up a burgerfuel "bambina" burger as incentive for the newbies! (must do a whole season of racing and win at least one race).
Yer, bring it on. Racers, or brolly girls. the "import" car scene has girls building their own cars for chrissakes.aaaaaand taking off their clothes in public.
hmm, maybe scooters are just too effeminate for modern, empowered young females?
Or are we the vanguard of a new realm of hyper masculinity? Scooter-racing is the new last bastion of male chauvinism?
Hey, Christine, does this mean you're gonna go out there and show 'em what an ET4 can do in the hands of a scoota chick? Its about time there was a 4-stroke auto in the racing. Personally, I'm too old, brittle of bone, and just plain cowardly for that sort of thing, but I'll look after anybody's pom-poms while they go out there and kick ass.
cheers, rtch
you wont fall off and crash unless you are pushing it REALLY hard.
Jaxy took his GS160 out on the track........
dont use crashing as an excuse. if your worried about falling off most ppl wouldnt ride in auckland traffic.
jonathan.
ps. whats Amnesty got to do with scooters?
i realise that its your signature. it just doesnt have anything to do with scooters. i dont see the point of posting it on a SCOOTER website.
...and I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to sport, I'm an inflated pig-bladder kind of bloke really. More power to you racing guys though, such bare-faced lunacy can only be applauded!
So go HARD or go HOME! I'm also insured if I bin it in traffic...
