For those unwilling to pre book - as it was sold out - you can turn up on the day and participate in 3 out of the 4
sessions for $75. This may seem like a gamble, but group 4 is not pressured on bookings. Last time there was about 4 placings available for those who turned up on day due to "No Shows" - Also if any one is keen to go to taupo to watch or race - I have a female friend who will be racing a CBR 1000 who needs a trailer or van ride down to Taupo. Taupo puts on a scorcher
Another winning day at Taupo. Excellent bit of Video, John has done some broadcast quality footage so I will you know when I have it. The Lambrettas were king of the day, great turn out with Matt and Kevin on powerful Lammie tunes, PJ on a tuned auto skipper which managed 2 sessions amidst tig welding, Yuri on his sweet tuned small frame that left me for dead off the mark, myself on my Bella RV180 and James on the Retro Scooter yellow demonstrator who managed to ride down from Auckland after BDO with PAV trailer in tow, go hard racing and then hitch up the trailer and carry on to Wellington, thats the spirit. But Kevin and Matt just made the motorcycle riders simply look pathetic, skills and power. 6 scooters on the field of about 24. My favourite dueling was with a Triumph Bonneville ? He had the power on the straights and that was it, he was all over the place in the curves. Awesome, Awesome day, will await the prof photos with enthusiasm. Any doubters about these events, stop doubting, fun does not get any better than this. Punjabi
