Saturday, 27 March, 2010 - Mods, Rockers and Rodders departing from Hot Rod Club, Franklin Rd, Pukekohe at 10.30am

The Triumph Owners (Franklin) in association with the Pukekohe Hot Rod Assn have invited the Magnetos Scooter Club to join them on their inaugural 'Mods, Rockers and Rodders' event. Meeting point for the start of this event is at the Hot Rod Club on Franklin Road, Pukekohe at 10.30am - the route for the ride is Pukekohe to Clevedon Hotel then on to Kaiaua for lunch and back to Pukekohe Hot Rod Club rooms which are situated by the Counties Rugby Stadium. It will be then time for the 'Show 'n Shine' :).
This will be lots of fun so get into your best Mod look and join in on the fun.
This will NOT be a tiddler friendly ride, unfortunately - make sure that your scoot can perform at open road speeds.
For Magnetos members who want to ride en masse out to Pukekohe, plse meet at Honeywell car park at 9.00am.
Are they looking for Mod Scooters or people whom are old enough to be mod's on scooters which aren't Mod scooters. Cause if it true mod scooters, which can perform at open road speeds 75kms I might entertain the thought, but if it is post 1979 scooters it's definitely not Mod's is it!
The weather forecast for Saturday is good, my scooter is happy enough at around 90, so if anyone else would be interested in riding out via the motoway to Pukekohe for at least the start, departing Honeywell at, say, 9am, I would be a starter.
Oh and the Whangamata Beach Hop is on this weekend as well, must be rockers organizing this event!
Damm work will be away again for saturday morning
not a lot of scooter riding going on these days.....
Just really really busy. Would love to be out there on all the rides but if I'm not travelling on business I'm stuck in the office, stuck in a meeting, attending to something else that's broken around the house, or spending what little time I can with family. A major Lotto win might help. Might give up the day job and scooter all the time....
Ritchie will call in at Honeywell at 9.00am and will pick up anyone who is there and will head straight out south via Ellerslie to pick me up on the way. If any others are going make sure you are at Honeywell before 9.00am.
