Well, there was Kane, and there was me, two scooters and about a thousand times as many bikes! They largely ignored me, on my #1 Cygnus with its brand new top box.
I couldn't make the early start on a Sunday! I did wander over to the AUT campus for the finish and had a look at the bikes. They announced that there were over 600 entrants this year. And yes there was a lone white GTS300! Didn't spot the Cygnus though.
This is my first year as a magneto so I wasn't sure what to expect. The run is a nice short one and an easy task for a very good cause so I would be keen to go along next year. A decent scooter turnout for something like this would be good. So far the best turnout for Magnetos rides I have been on has been the anniversary ride down Queen Street. I assume that the strong turn out for the anniversary rde is because its ours not some other club's. Perhaps we should have a charity for it.
how ever I did bump into
how ever I did bump into past members who now ride larger bikes
Any consolation to Richie
I took my kids to look at the ride from one of the overbridges and I do believe I saw you on the Cygnus. So good on you for representing us.
Any idea on final numbers on the run?
600+
