Informal City Ride - Tiddler Friendly
Meet at Honeywell for 13:00 then a ride through the city via Mt Eden and Auckland Domain, finishing at the Sitting Duck cafe Westhaven marina for coffe, cake and pies!
Sunday would be the rain day!
If not coffee, then lager!
Happy to replan the route to maybe finish at either Galbraithes or the Post Shop at Ponsonby but can't stop long as there's a 7:30pm Warriors match that night!

keen either way, I do like the beer at Galbraithes though, but you can't ogle your scooters there.
The Cadrona Speights Ale House round the corner was good for combining a drink and ogling.

Seriously, do you realise a bottle of beer costs about the same as a coffee? Go figure.
I don't know where you buy your beer or coffee but you are either getting very cheap beer or very expensive coffee!

At the pub a point now days is $7-$8 today it was (Hic)
So in Old mods terms thats a coffee and pie for the price of a pint
thats why the bowling club rocked $3 pints
one is for drinking, the other is for crack-heads...
How can anyone afford to be a smoking alcoholic these days? Especially if you ride a bike and register it too! Oh well, at least alcopops are cheap for the kids....

I tried the Brew Bar on Quay St last night. Some great beers from all over the world there. Some out of this world prices though. The most expensive I saw was $52 for a yankee brew.

Hope to have bike by Saturday as the Gilera is playing up agaian and my GTS is in the panel shop, otherwise may have to use one of the other 3 GTS's that we have! I'll try a dry run tomorrow and may be change the end point to a hostelry that is friendly to scooterist's - Galbraiths, Cadronna or maybe the Post house in Ponsonby!

This run will be held on Sunday if rained out on the Saturday - but with a slightly earlier time to suit Peters work commitments. So check this posting on Saturday to see if the ride is postponed or not.
The ride will be finishing at Deus Ex Machina for a coffee, pie? and perv at some very nice old bikes

Looks like I can't make Saturday. Body Corp meeting to attend...I checked out Deus Ex Machina today and was really impressed. I forgot to look for, or ask about pies though. Doh!
Can someone please post the confirmation/postponement announcement by a reasonable time ahead, say 11am, to give intending participants enough time to (re)organise their day, and can the someone please advise us well before time (like today) when that posting time is going to be?
My usually-reliable source predicts rain easing to showers for tomorrow, but hey, we're not afraid of a bit of rain, are we?

Just curious about an approximate end point for this one, does it swing out west at all or is it inner city?
As long as its not the cafe that's on that road in the proximity of a place adjacent to that other location, then IF three of the falling five cards land face up I should be able to make it..partly..
