Glenbrook is always a great destination - suitable for open road riding. Departing from the Jolly Farmer, 200 Great South Road, Papakura at 10.30am - take $$$ for lunch or byo.

Not that I'm totally food fixated but are we dining at the Trains or that cafe you took us to once before?.
I need a scoot with longer legs...
...Yes I know Ritchie, opportunities missed Lol...
I wonder if some old grip heaters and controller could be modified as an under seat pie warmer?

We could do it OK, I would bring the Liberty if you would coax the Jog. It's OK from Papakura to Glenbrook, it's just that the non-motorway route from the city to Papakura takes a while, like about an hour. Or have you developed a faint heart?
Gravitating to Railway pies, what.
Let's have a little class on these rides. The "other" cafe we went to does or did offer tatty oggies, a far superior delicacy than the NZR "meat" pie.. Maybe I'm a snob.

Plse note for those who have put this ride in their diary that the date has been changed from Sun, 29 Aug to Sun, 12th Sep '10 - due to AGM being scheduled for Sun 29 Aug '10 at recent cmmttee mtg.
Cheers.

Keen for the trip if the weather is absolutely perfect. Is the vintage railway open this weekend? Their website suggests October...
I think they offer rides etc only from Labour weekend, but perhaps they are all hanging out there preparing for the Season. Maybe John knows something.
No, the Glenbrook railway will be open for busines from Lab w/end onwards.
Yes, as I thought. But given that Labour Day is next month, is there anything there to see and/or do there this weekend?
The weather is forecast to improve so get to the Jolly Farmer for some great riding around the Glenbrook area.
