Got the PX200 reggo form today, 12 mths $394.80
Last year $309

Makes you wonder, when having the correct cc rating, costs so much.
The 50cc boyos (Yeah Right) will be laughing.

Mind you , this is only for a year or two then its up some more!

It gone up for us to, the first year was $86ish (2008) went up in 09
now is high enough to probably not make economic sense to bother with one, perhaps the main reason now is if your not in the class 6 licence system yet.

Mine is still doing its job, but if I can shift a couple of old boats and an old bike or two then the jog will traded up.

Arrrrgh - I can barely think about it. Have to say that I have let one or two of my scoots go without a WOF for a wee while (haven't been riding them) so I haven't faced getting all the Regos paid up. Could only afford to do big bike rego for 6 months - false economy, I know - but with limited funds it aint possible to cough it all up at one stage.

And I hate having scoots that work without current regos cos I wanna be able to choose whatever scoot I want to ride at whatever time of the day I want to ride....oh yeah, I almost forgot what you said, Old Mod - I will try not to mention anything more about having more than one scoot and only being able to ride one at a time and paying a fortune for the privilege.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh

get a dealer plate and some kind of quick connect device?
or
I'm sure a scoot is a scoot to most of the popo I'm sure you could move the plates across, mostly all they want to know is who owns it and who you are they don't care about make etc.
Just don't use the Jogs plates LoL

But they do care if you're

But they do care if you're licensed to ride a 50cc (using the car license) and you're pulled over doing 120km on your 300cc speed machine.

As a new (but temporary) multi scoot owner I'm in the lucky position of inheriting a scoot with a rego that simply says Vespa Moped. As much as I hate the M word it is quite convenient. Especially as both my scoots are blue.

Would I feel guilty at this deception? No. As I can only ride one at a time. Both scoots don't go much faster than a 50cc and the starving children in Africa will remain unaffected.

Of course I will have the correct plate on the correct scoot for any club run.

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning

Remember that if you don't formally apply to take off road for a given period. The LTSA still make you pay any outstanding/overdue reggo when you do want to use and register for use.
Expensive clause that.

You are right - I have been putting off the evil day of departing with $$$ by not doing anything and yes, I will still have to cough up and then exempt the scoots properly. A talk with the current chairman about how many scoots to have rego'd and on the road is long overdue :(.

If your ride is a vintage then this clause does not apply. You can rego from the point in time you go to rego it and it wont be back dated for any lapsed portion....you just have to put up with riding an old scoot!

i think rather than getting a dealer plate, Errol Gill, has some other arrangement as a museum - must be like a dealer plate, and he rides all his bikes off the common plate...this is what i have heard somewhere

I love this idea, Matt

Have always been a 'museum' type of person - or in crude terms an avid hoarder of Steptoe proportions.

However, I think I remember Ron saying that Mark Brown applied for this museum status and apparently it was more trouble than it was worth but good on Errol - must ask him about that...maybe at next Blue Smoke 'n Pedals.
