Take the time to go way back in time and read back to current time in the GTS Problems section, you will learn a lot of "stuff"!
Lots of techie knowledge.
GT/GTS owners read the Cheeky Thomas ( full time tech)posts in Problems and Tuning relating to specific procedures, photo pictorials and all sorts of interesting stuff, even if only to look inside motor.
Total engine rebuilds real moto voyeurism cooooor.
Even this thread is better than that Respect #2 photo and thread, hey what happened to the forum the other week - hacked by someone, sold off, bought back - held to ransom, ...........
its rather boring in here, where are the classic scooters and frothing on those..... you should see some of the cool classic pics Nick Gill is posting on facebook - freaking mint man, i could cut and paste some, if you would like - might beat talking GT and GTS?????
haha
i tell ya though, if i was to buy a modern, showroom floor scooter with unlimited funds....it would be a tough choice
my choices would be...hmmmm.. 800cc Gilera autoscooter or 3 wheeler gilera fuoco....or..... one of the big maxi scoots. the tmax or the gilera? what is that 500cc odd gilera maxi? v twin?
there is a theme running there in hindsight - either a Yamaha or a Gilera!
Gilera, i reckon, bigger the better. feet forward, heaps of torque, out of the elements and with a comfy seat and a back rest! and of course heated hand grips, yeah. so gangster.
p.s - good luck with the AGM guys, its a tough job, but someone has to do it
Ha ha - a super mollet with oversized basket and boot is worth a froth or two :). I was scootin' thru Newmarket yesterday and what caught my eye but a super mollet with white basket (had to be yours Ritchie) parked on the pavement - it was a head turner, mainly cos of the cheeky way it was parked and it looked so preposterously outstanding in front all that seductive retail glamour!
The forum/website got sorta lost for a while there last week due to a misdirected request for annual renewal but website mgr got it sorted pretty quickly so all running again smoothly - thanks Peter M.
Nick Gill's pics must be great - anything those Gills touch looks like magic.
I'm impressed that a classic scooterguy can talk autos - however, i reckon that the Gileras are ugly and if you're gonna have a 3 wheeler Fuoco you'd be much better off with the Piaggio MP3 400cc - even in the ugly stakes, they have style. Mind you, if you want ugly - then my pick would be the fuoco. Putting an MP3 up against a fuoco on a flat straight track for a drag race would be hilarious. Years ago I read about the 500cc Piaggio Beverly and thought that would be a cool auto scoot - better than a burgman :). Did that scoot ever get to NZ?
Cheers re the AGM, Matt - yep, someone's gotta do it and it's good to have a good team doing stuff for the club :)

Maxi scoots also have very expensive servicing requirements in the uk they say.
For the price of a Fuocco or T-Max you are in near new Suzuki B-King (dribble, dribble) country. Which would be an auto to me as I wouldn't get out of first gear.
Interesting debate going on there...
To floor matt or not to floor mat, think of the floor paint people!

Yeah I saw that. I was
Yeah I saw that.
I was thinking of getting a mat to temporarily hide my bent floor rails, perished rubber and flaky paint. Surely a mat couldn't make it any worse.
Decided not to in the end and now I'm completely stripping the bike and in about 5-7 years later I will hopefully fixed all that.

Same site
Look in gallery, GTV post and see chromed mat strips quite nice.

NZ is not in love with BIG autos
Kiwis would only spend that coin on motorcycles.

Matt, please show us how it
Matt, please show us how it is done then! Post something that will knock our scooter riding socks off and leave us debating for many a day.
No pressure!
